Fire Safety Training

Ember Fire Protection provides fire awareness, fire extinguisher and fire marshal training. All of our courses include a practical session outdoors, (see below) where each delegate has the opportunity to handle various types of extinguishers and extinguishing actual fires on our training rig. We provide safety cones and “Live Fire training” signage at the perimeter.

FAQs

Why do I need to do fire safety training?

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 that covers general fire safety in England and Wales states tha you must complete a fire risk assessment and ensure that adequate and appropriate fire safety measures are in place to minimise the risk of injury or loss of life in the event of an incident. As part of this process you are required to ensure your workers have received appropriate training on procedures they need to follow, including fire drills.

How many Fire Wardens do I need?

This number will depend on both your building and the nature of your business. In addition you must ensure that there is always sufficient staff to cover time off and lunch breaks etc. The number of fire marshals required will be identified in your risk assessment.

What facilities do I need to provide.

For the theory part of the fire training course we will need to set up a meeting room and for the practical part - using fire extinguishers - will need access to a safe area outside.
